In my experience, Queenslander homes are one of the most common blind spots I see in Paddington pet owners. A lot of these houses have a full flight of stairs to the front door, and I'll regularly hear "oh, she's just slowing down a bit" about a dog who's actually started hesitating on the stairs, or taking them one at a time instead of bounding up. That hesitation is often one of the earliest signs of joint discomfort — and by the time an owner brings it up as a concern rather than a personality change, the arthritis is usually more advanced than it needed to be. If your dog lives in a home with stairs and you've noticed any change in how they use them, that's worth mentioning at their next check-up, even if it seems minor.
